Meet Liomari and Victor - they are a vegan, skateboarding duo looking to make this world a better place (how cool is that!) They also run the @oneteamearth_ account, where they share practical advice and motivation on having a more eco-friendly lifestyle. Read below for more on Liomari and Victor’s thoughts on their sustainability journey:
“The biggest hurdle is finding quality low to zero waste products that you can swap for and still do the job. Like shampoo, conditioner, deodorant and so on. After many trial and errors we are happy to have found products that actually work. I used to order shampoo and conditioner bars but they needed to be shipped; in the back of my mind I knew that, although it was zero waste, it had a higher carbon footprint. So we were so happy to have found usefull.
The next area we are working on improving is finding ways to reuse the plastic bags that come with bulk purchases that were not needed before COVID but now are everywhere. Getting items in bulk used to be a holy grail for living a low to zero waste lifestyle but now they’re wrapped in plastic and so hard to avoid.”
