Replace plastic dish sponges that harbor bacteria with natural loofah sponges. Loofah sponges expand and soften with water and work like a typical dish sponge, but without the plastic waste. Made 100% from loofah plants, these sponges are naturally antibacterial, which mean they don't stink and clean better, longer. These single layer sponges have one side that's softer and smooth and the other that has some rougher ridges (where the seeds sit in the plant), perfect for scrubbing and getting stubborn food scraps off plates.

Care Instructions: Rinse, squeeze excess water, and place in a dry place to allow water to drain in between uses. You can soak in vinegar or submerge in boiling water for 5 minutes to disinfect. Loofah sponges are durable and will last several weeks; replace monthly or when it starts to break apart.

Disposal: Downgrade used sponges for other household chores like cleaning your oven, sink or bathtub. At end of life, cut up sponge and toss in the compost.
